This was a nice ride. I rode the metric century and the departure was very well organized and the route was excellent. A lot of quiet country road with great scenery. It would've been nice to depart a little earlier (7:30 instead of 8:15) to beat the mid day heat but over all, an enjoyable ride. I plan on doing it next year.

I understand this endeavor after having volunteered for 3 years in greyhound rescue myself, and one of them even has a forever home in MY home. THe volunteers were so grateful to us for riding and told us so at every rest stop; the aid stations were well-stocked with homemade goodies and fresh fruit; the route was well-marked (I didn't check the cue sheet once!); the meal at the end was homemade and served happily by the volunteers, even to those of us who finished toward the end of the afternoon; and much to my shock, I even won a door prize! This ride was one of my favorite supported rides I've done and I hope they'll continue it next year because I'll certainly be back! My ONLY suggestion: instead of an 815 start for the metric, starting tat 730 might have made our time in the heat a little shorter. Thank you for a great time, Electric City Greyhound volunteers! I thoroughly enjoyed this ride. The route was very well marked, well stocked rest stops and very friendly volunteers. The entire event was well planned. I really liked the back roads through Anderson....never knew how beautiful it was. The organizers were also very appreciative of our participation and asked for immediate feedback at the end. Would definitely recommend this ride to others and also do again!
