The Greyhound…..An ancient breed with a noble spirit

Greyhounds are surprisingly gentle, sweet, and highly intelligent dogs.  These “sight hounds”, known as the fastest dog in the world, can reach speeds of over 40 mph.  Once their useful time at the track is over (as young as two years for many), these dog’s future depend on the efforts of local rescue groups.

Your participation in this cycling event will directly help find “forever homes” for greyhounds and for many other homeless animals through the efforts of our local Anderson County animal rescue groups.  Thank you for your support.

Just wanted to tell you about Greyhound Articles Online, otherwise known as Greytarticles.  It's a collection of articles I put together from CG Magazine (1996-2001) and from some great newsletters after 2001. It went online last month but articles are added frequently. It also has a section for useful medical info links.
